|Catherin Ann Gumpert
Catherin Ann Gumpert began her pastorate at the Readington Reformed Church on August 6, 2001.
She was ordained and installed as the new pastor of the Readington Reformed Church on November 17, 2002. Clergy participating in her ordination and installation service were: The Rev. Todd Buurstra, pastor of the North Branch Reformed Church and Supervisor of the Readington Reformed Church; The Rev. David Ruisard, Pastor of the Rockaway Reformed and President of the Delaware-Raritan Classis; The Rev. Dr. Philip Bakelaar, Pastor of the Ocean Community Church (where Catherin was student Pastor for a year); The Rev. Paul Van Elk, Stated Clerk, Delaware-Raritan Classis; The Rev. Cornelius Kors, Minister for Candidate Care and Certification, Reformed Church in America; The Rev. Daniel Griswold, Associate Pastor, Plano, Texas; and the Rev. Allen Buurma, Classis Care Coordinator, Delaware-Raritan Classis.
Pastor Cathy was born and raised in Michigan and has spent time in Wisconsin, Chicago, Texas, and the last six years in the Princeton area while she attended Princeton Theological Seminary. She recently earned her Masters of Theology and Masters of Divinity degrees. Pastorís Cathyís previous education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters of Science in Education. While earning her degree, Cathy was the student Pastor at the Ocean Community Church in Manahawkin for a year and a half.
Before beginning her theological studies, she was the lead teacher of the Extended Day Program at the West Windsor-Plainsboro School district for four years, a Special Educations teacher at Allen High School in Texas, and a teacherís aid at Collin County Community College, also in Texas. Pastor Cathy also has a certification in Deaf Education.
Pastor Cathy is a single mother of two children, David and Rachel.
