Reverend David Taylor, Pulpit Supply Pastor

We are happy to welcome Reverend David Taylor as Stated Pulpit Supply Pastor. David has a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce, a Master of Divinity from New Brunswick Theological Seminary, and was ordained as Minister of Word & Sacrament in 2004. Rev. Taylor is married with two children and four grandchildren, and is a life-long resident and local business owner in the Somerville area.  

David’s past experience includes serving as pastor for the Trinity Reformed Church of North Plainfield from 2004 to 2011, and providing pulpit supply from 2011 through the present for various churches in the area, including the Fairfield, Griggstown, Clover Hill, and High Bridge Reformed Churches as well as the Feasterville Community Church. At each church he has provided pastoral care, provided Sunday sermons, and led bible study groups.  

David’s other recent experience serving God includes being a Chaplain for the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills from 2003 through 2011, a volunteer Chaplain’s Assistant at the Atlantic City Rescue Mission for the 2011, 2012, 2014 summer seasons, a member of the Somerset Medical Center Ethics Committee – RWJ Somerset, and a member of the Clinical Trial Review Board – aka Institutional Review Board (IRB). 

His varied personal interests include boating (power and sail), swimming, scuba diving, and salvage and wreck research. He has a USCG License for up to 100 Ton Steam and Motor and Auxiliary Sail. David is also a supporter of veteran’s assistance organizations such as the Wounded Warrior Project and the Navy Seal Foundation. Rev. Taylor is available for Pastoral care as needed.
