Proceeds from this year's walkathon benefited the preservation of Readington Reformed’s historic church and two local organizations: Family Promise of Hunterdon County, and 52 Reasons to Love a Vet (through the Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation)
Readington Reformed's structure located on Readington Road was dedicated in 1865 and is presently in need of handicapped accessibility and ongoing support, so we can continue to fulfill our mission to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. This vibrant congregation has been a part of the fabric of Hunterdon County for nearly 300 years.
Family Promise of Hunterdon County is the only homeless shelter for families in Hunterdon County. Family Promise and the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) are a unique community partnership of paid staff and volunteers from a vast network of congregations throughout Hunterdon County. They offer a continuum of services that includes shelter, food, homeless prevention/rapid re-housing, mental health services and after-shelter support.
The “52 Reasons to Love a Veteran” program is a fund conceived by Ella Rue, graphic designer and mother to a U.S. Armed Services Veteran, and administered by the Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation. The fund provides monetary awards to eligible veterans of the U.S. Armed Services to help facilitate their ability to pursue healthcare and dental needs, fitness and wellness programs, or educational opportunities.
Thanks so much for your past and continued support!
