In June we have our annual Women’s Picnic at one of our members’ homes. It’s a lot of fun. Everyone brings a dish to share and beverages and dessert are provided. We take the summer months of June, July and August off and begin meeting again in September with our annual Night of Renewal In October we will have our Annual Craft Fair and Tricky Tray to raise money for our missions and church projects. There are crafters with many wonderful things to purchase, and for those who have everything lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. The Tricky Tray also is fun and the prizes get better every year. So, please plan to come for a couple of hours and bring a friend! Our Christmas Party is held in December in Fellowship Hall. We always have great hors d’ouevres, punch and delicious desserts. We play a fun game with grab bag gifts brought by those that attend. Our meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. You don’t have to be a member to join us or help us. We look forward to having you join us soon. Please come, and bring a friend!
We have four active and devoted members who meet every Tuesday, year round, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. All of the Readington Quilters are members of the Hunterdon County Quilting Guild. Through this group we have individually made and donated quilts to seriously ill children, for unwed mothers through “New Moms, New Expectations”, with Catholic Charities of Somerville, for preemies at the Robert Wood Neo-Natal Hospital in New Brunswick, for ill children through the Shannon Daley Foundation of Whitehouse Station, and Quilts of Valor for wounded veterans. We also made and donated quilts to the cancer patients at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington and Somerset Medical Center. We gladly welcome any one to join us any Tuesday as we could use all the help we can get - bring a sandwich and join us! We provide the coffee and tea and many surprise delicious desserts. It’s a learning experience with great fellowship!
