Women’s Ministry
All women are welcome. You don’t need to be a member of the church to join us or help out.
We meet the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM in Fellowship Hall, September through May.
Our Year Together
September: Night of Renewal
We start each new season with our annual Night of Renewal.
November: Craft Fair & Tricky Tray
Our biggest fundraiser supports our missions and church projects. Local crafters bring wonderful things to buy, and the Tricky Tray prizes get better every year. Lunch is served in Fellowship Hall from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Come for a couple of hours and bring a friend!

Spring: Women’s Breakfast
Come join us for breakfast and an inspirational service for women.

December: Christmas Party
Hors d’oeuvres, punch, delicious desserts, and a fun grab-bag gift game.
June: Women’s Picnic
We close the year with a picnic at a member’s home. Everyone brings a dish to share, and we provide drinks and dessert.
We take July and August off.
Serving Together
We support the Good News Home for Women by collecting toiletries for the women in their program.

Our Community Outreach
We have four active and devoted members who meet every Tuesday, year round, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. All of the Readington Quilters are members of the Hunterdon County Quilting Guild. Through this group we have individually made and donated quilts to seriously ill children, for unwed mothers through “New Moms, New Expectations”, with Catholic Charities of Somerville, for preemies at the Robert Wood Neo-Natal Hospital in New Brunswick, for ill children through the Shannon Daley Foundation of Whitehouse Station, and Quilts of Valor for wounded veterans. We also made and donated quilts to the cancer patients at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington and Somerset Medical Center. We gladly welcome any one to join us any Tuesday as we could use all the help we can get - bring a sandwich and join us! We provide the coffee and tea and many surprise delicious desserts. It’s a learning experience with great fellowship!
Missions
Good News Home for Women
Founded in 1983 and located on farmland in Flemington, Good News Home is a non-profit, faith-based residential treatment center for women working to recover from addiction. Its program uses a Christian 12-step approach along with addiction counseling, life skills and spiritual counseling, and no woman is turned away because she can’t pay.
How we help: Our Women’s Ministries collects toiletries for the women in the program.

Readington Area Starfish
Starfish is our neighbors helping neighbors. It supports local families in need all year with food, financial help and community care, working with Readington Township Social Services and holding three major food distributions each year. Starfish is run entirely by volunteers from local churches, schools, scouts and neighbors, and every dollar stays in our community.
How we help: Food collections, volunteers at distributions, sponsoring a families at Christmas.
Family Promise
Family Promise is the only homeless shelter for children and their families in Hunterdon County. It began in 1990, when local residents saw there were no housing services for homeless people in the area and opened with hundreds of volunteers and 23 churches. Today it helps families find stable, permanent housing and get back on their feet.
